The leader of the Young People's Party (POT), Anamaria Gavrilă, launched harsh accusations against the AUR-supported candidate for the Capital City Hall, Anca Alexandrescu, claiming that she was a “man of the system” and SRI cadre, after allegedly being a patient at the SRI Hospital, an institution with strict access reserved for cadres and first-degree relatives.

According to Anamaria Gavrilă, the presence of Anca Alexandrescu at the SRI Hospital proves that she is not “independent, but also from the system“.

According to Anamariea Gavrilă, the access regime to the hospital is extremely strict, being accepted only “cadres and first degree relatives of these cadres“. She claims that Anca Alexandrescu is an old patient of the institution and that she benefited from services even before the inauguration of the new body of the hospital, which is more permissive with patients.

The accusations come in the context of the campaign for the Capital City Hall, in which POT does not support Anca Alexandrescu, choosing its own candidate, the actor George Burcea. The head of POT motivated the party's decision by emphasizing that Bucharest needs a mayor who can free the capital from the political games of the governing parties.
Anca Alexandrescu submitted her candidacy for the General City Hall of the Capital on November 14, in the presence of AUR leader George Simion.
