Wingstop to Launch in Poland, Challenging KFC and Popeyes

The American fast-food chain Wingstop is set to enter the Polish market, potentially creating strong competition for well-established brands like KFC and Popeyes. The chain is actively searching for locations in major cities, as reported by Property News.

Wingstop, known for its specialization in chicken wings, will be operated by the British company Lemon Pepper Holdings. The chain is considering prime locations in cities such as Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław, Trójmiasto, and Poznań. The aim is to establish outlets in high-traffic areas or large shopping centers.

American Brand’s Forward Momentum in Poland

Founded in 1994, Wingstop offers primarily chicken wings in a setting reminiscent of the 1930s and 1940s. Globally, the chain operates several thousand outlets, including over 100 in the UK and Ireland. Poland will be the first Central European market for Lemon Pepper Holdings’ expansion plans.

The American chain aims to set up restaurants in locations with substantial foot traffic, particularly in major shopping malls and along busy commercial streets.

Chris Sherriff, CEO of Lemon Pepper Holdings, emphasized the brand’s commitment to quality and personalization, stating, “Our wings, both bone-in and boneless, along with tenders, are made to order and covered in our signature sauces and seasonings. This focus on flavor, freshness, and choice will be the cornerstone of our brand in Poland as well.” He added, “Poland represents a natural next step for Wingstop, given its dynamic market and vibrant culinary culture. We see significant growth potential here.”
