On June 14, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in Telegram spoke about Ukrainian intelligence reports assessing the internal situation in the aggressor country of Russia and documents that reach the desk of the illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“We understand that Putin is occasionally given completely truthful information without embellishment. But even what he sees in the documents that come to him still allows us to draw conclusions. In particular, the so-called forecast indicators of Russians’ dissatisfaction with Putin will be steadily growing, and they have already begun to teach him the idea that the growth of discontent cannot be stopped and this indicator will not “reach a plateau” until September, when parliamentary elections are planned in Russia,” noted Zelensky.
He said the ratings of Russia's ruling United Russia party also indicated a “steady downward trend.” Intelligence also reported a significant increase in protest sentiment in Russian regions. These reports, according to the President of Ukraine, do not yet take into account “potential events in June, July and August,” which cannot but additionally affect the situation in Russia.
“The completely fair pressure on Russia for this war will continue and intensify, and not only our pressure. Thus, by September Putin will come out with even worse indicators. Unfortunately, in response to all the public and non-public peace proposals that we have made, only words have been heard about the continuation of his war. The internal Russian situation should convince us of the opposite: that peace is needed. Ukraine proposes to negotiate a decent peace. Obviously, the trends will not change, and over time, this may mean that the agreement will have to be concluded with someone else from Russia – with someone who will not close himself off from reality! – the president added.
