The Yenisei basin water administration (Rosvodresury) for the period from May 31 to July 5 established for the Boguchansky hydroelectric power station the operating mode with average daily costs of 2900-3300 cubic meters per second. The decision was made in accordance with the hydrological situation that has developed on Lake Baikal, Angara and Yenisei.

The flood in the area of the Boguchansky hydroelectric power station began in the third decade of April, seven to ten days earlier than usual, and ended by the end of May. The volume of the Boguchansky reservoir during this period increased from 56.08 to 57.55 cubic kilometers, the water level in the alignment of the station rose from a mark of 207.07 to 207.71 m (above the Baltic Sea).

The maximum lateral supply in the reservoir during the flood period was 2700 cubic meters per second, the average was 810 cubic meters. For comparison: in 2024, the maximum supply was 1990 cubic meters per second, and the average was a little more than 790 cubic meters. The average level of the Angara in the lower biefe of the station in May was 138.47 m, on the control watering of the Boguchana and Tatarka, the level complies with the requirements of the navigation period.

The hydroelectric power station staff successfully completed all the tasks of preparing and passing the flood, ensuring the trouble -free operation of the equipment, uninterrupted electricity production and the working state of hydraulic structures. During May, the average costs through the hydraulic units of the Boguchanskaya hydroelectric power station amounted to 3086 cubic meters per second, which corresponded to the regime established by Enbu. In the first decade of May, the Boguchanskaya hydroelectric power station produced 185-million kilowatt-hour since the launch of the first hydraulic units in October 2012.

The modes of filling and working reservoirs, the passage of floods at the hydroelectric power station is set by the Federal Agency for Water Resources (Rosvodresursi), taking into account the recommendations of the interdepartmental working group, which includes representatives of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, Rosrybolovstvo, Rosmorrechflot, JSC “SB UES”, executive authorities of the subjects of the Federation, etc.

Information on the hydrological situation of the hydroelectric power station, which are part of RusHydro, is presented in the form of daily updated infographics.
