Russians are increasingly using neural networks to create music and process voices, Yota estimates.
Since the beginning of 2026, traffic to such services has grown by more than 20%, and the time that users spend on them has increased by 45%. Compared to May last year, the figure increased by almost a quarter. This data was obtained by Yota analysts based on anonymized subscriber data.
The popularity of AI music is growing along with interest in neurocovers – re-covers of famous songs in the synthesized voices of different artists. One striking example is a cover of “Gray Night” in the voice of Kanye West, which collected 29 million plays on Shazam.
Among residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Suno remains the most popular service for generating music – it accounts for 69% of online data and 93% of the total time that users spend in musical neural networks.
In second place is Moises.ai, which helps to divide any audio or video file into separate tracks – vocals, bass, drums, guitar. It accounts for 26% of traffic.
The Vocal Remover service, which helps extract vocals from tracks for further use in covers, closes the top three, with a share of about 5%.
The main audience for music neural networks in the region is Krasnoyarsk residents aged 26–45: they account for about half of all traffic and usage time. Another 18% of activity comes from users aged 46–55. However, the most noticeable increase in engagement is demonstrated by Russians over 56 years of age. Despite the relatively small share of traffic (8%), their growth on music services was 13% year on year.
Young people aged 14–25 occupy a relatively small share of traffic (2%), but they are the ones who most often set viral trends. Interest in Covers.ai among this audience in April 2026 was almost 2.8 times higher than a year earlier.
Krasnoyarsk men use musical neural networks noticeably more actively than women. Their share among users is 58%, they account for 61% of traffic and total time in services.
The leader in terms of traffic volume to AI music services was Moscow – 24%. In second place is Novosibirsk (6%), in third is St. Petersburg (4%). The top five also included Perm and Samara (3% each). Next come Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk and Vladivostok – each with a share of about 2%.
