The traditional sports festival “Festival of Opportunities” was held on the Central Embankment of Krasnoyarsk. This was reported to the city administration.

Sports and playgrounds have been prepared for guests. Participants played gorodki, table hockey, checkers, chess, bowling, basketball and backgammon. They could also test their strength in testing the GTO complex. A separate part of the program was a mass start in Nordic walking. Participants walked a three-kilometer distance along the embankment. Before the start, they had an open-air warm-up.

“You set records in almost all sports: swimming, Nordic walking, yoga, sports dancing and many other areas. Thanks to your successes and achievements, our city has become a pilot site for the federal project “Siberian Longevity” and has become the best municipal practice of the Russian Federation,” emphasized the deputy head of the city, head of the department of social development, Evgenia Yuryeva.

The holiday was also complemented by musical and sports performances from club members, a dance flash mob and folk games. At the end of the festival, the instructors were awarded. They were presented with letters of gratitude and memorable gifts for their many years of contribution to the development of physical education and health work among the older generation.

The festival was held for the 22nd time. Its participants included more than 1,200 Krasnoyarsk residents over 55 years of age who train in the city’s physical education and health clubs.
