MTS announced the launch of an LTE network in the village of Denisovo, Dzerzhinsky-Taseevsky district.
Thanks to the launch of a new base station, high-speed mobile Internet and stable voice communications from MTS will be available to about a thousand local residents, as well as motorists traveling along the Taseevsky Highway to the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
MTS signalmen provided Internet to the entire territory of the village, where not only residential buildings are located, but also the settlement administration, Denisovsky Club, library, first aid station and post office. Now residents can receive the necessary certificates and documents online, study remotely, buy tickets for a regular bus and use telemedicine.
For villagers, high-speed Internet opens up new opportunities: from receiving online advice on farming to promoting local tourist spots – for example, the memorable location “Judgement Hut”, associated with the difficult history of the partisan movement in Siberia.
“High-speed mobile Internet has long become a necessary condition for a full life and work, which is especially important not only for large cities, but also for small settlements. Therefore, we continue to systematically expand and update the network infrastructure in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Last year, we connected more than 280 settlements in the region to the MTS network; in the Dzerzhinsko-Taseevsky district we launched base stations in the villages of Orlovka, Khandala, Sivokhino and Fanachet, as well as in the village of Alexandro-Ersha,” commented Sergei Yegoshin, director of MTS in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The village of Denisovo was founded in 1630 by a settler from the Vladimir province, Denis Vladimirov, and the founder’s brothers – Kondrat, Stepan and Makar – settled higher along the Topolchik River and founded the villages of Kondratyevo, Stepanovo and Makarovo. According to legend, the brothers took part in Ermak’s Siberian campaigns, for which they received land with an area of 14 thousand dessiatines as a reward with a deed of gift on behalf of the queen, drawn up in the ancient Slavic language.
