The first case of anaplasmosis was registered in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

For the first time this year, a human infection with the tick-borne infection anaplasmosis was registered in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This was reported by Rospotrebnadzor.
The diagnosis was made for a 33-year-old resident of Kuragino. According to the man, he found a tick in his left armpit while washing in the bathhouse.
In total, since the beginning of the season, 6,493 residents of the region have contacted doctors with complaints about ticks, 1,764 of them in the last seven days.
Tick activity in the Krasnoyarsk Territory is increasing
“Currently, acaricidal treatments have been carried out on an area of more than 3,220 hectares, including public recreation areas. With every warm day, the risk of encountering ticks increases, so it is necessary to take measures to prevent ticks from being sucked on, including when going out into nature, do not forget to carry out self- and mutual examinations,” Rospotrebnadzor said.
