The Ministry of Labor published on Thursday evening, in decisional transparency, the new draft law on magistrates' pensions. The document provides for the pension to be 70% of the last net salary, as in the previous form proposed by the Bologna Government, rejected by the Constitutional Court, but with a longer transition period towards the retirement age of 65.

Thus, according to the project, the transition to the standard retirement age of 65 years will take place in 15 years, instead of 10 years as provided for in the previous project.

Currently, the service pension of magistrates represents 80% of the last net salary.

The CCR declared the previous law unconstitutional and rejected it in form, reasoning that the Executive did not wait 30 days for the CSM's opinion.
