New storm alerts in Romania. Two yellow codes, now issued by meteorologists, including for Bucharest

Meteorologists have issued new bad weather warnings for several areas of the country, valid today and Thursday.

According to the ANM, a yellow code for storms will be valid between June 3, 8 p.m. and June 4, 10 a.m. The warning applies to the counties of Timiș, Caraș-Severin, Mehedinți, Gorj, Dolj and the south of Hunedoara county.

In the mentioned interval, there will be periods of accentuated atmospheric instability that will be manifested by torrential downpours, electrical discharges, wind intensifications, in some places gales (speeds of 50…70 km/h) and small and possibly medium sized hail.

Also, in short time intervals (1…3 hours) or through accumulation, there will be water quantities of 15…25 l/m2 and isolated over 30…40 l/m2.

Another yellow code for gales and torrential rains was issued by ANM for the period June 4, 12 noon – June 4, 11 p.m.

The warning concerns the greater part of Muntenia, the east of Oltenia and in the south-west of Moldova there will be periods of severe atmospheric instability which will be manifested by torrential showers, electrical discharges, wind intensifications, in places stormy (speeds of 50…70 km/h) and small and medium sized hail.

ANM states that in short periods of time (1…3 hours) or through accumulation there will be water quantities of 15…25 l/m2 and isolated over 30…40 l/m2.

According to meteorologists, there will be manifestations of atmospheric instability in limited areas and in the rest of the country.
