Over the past ten years, 28 schools and kindergartens have been built in Krasnoyarsk. More than 15,000 children went to new educational institutions. These statistics were shared by the Department of Urban Development on Children's Day.
Among the constructed facilities is the largest school beyond the Urals with 1,550 places, which was built in the Bugach microdistrict in 2021. New schools also appeared in Solnechny, Severny, on Vzletok and on 8 March Street.
The department notes that school projects are becoming more modern and technologically advanced every year:
“Every year, school projects become more innovative. The multimedia system for assembly halls is changing, libraries are becoming co-working spaces, and language labs are appearing for studying foreign languages.”
Standards for kindergartens are also changing. Thus, the new kindergarten in Pokrovsky, which was commissioned at the beginning of 2026, was equipped with floor curling, exercise bikes and treadmills for children.
Let us remind you that four schools are currently being built in Krasnoyarsk at the same time. One of them is being built in the Tikhie Zori microdistrict. It will become the second largest school in the city and will begin work this year.
