Last month, DTEK specialists restored power to the homes of almost 2 million families who were left without electricity as a result of shelling by the Russian Federation. This is stated in a message on the DTEK website.

“In the last month of spring, the enemy continued to attack peaceful cities and villages and destroy the energy infrastructure. Despite all the security challenges and difficulties of wartime, DTEK’s energy workers managed to fully or partially return light to residents of almost 1.6 thousand settlements and restore power supply to almost 2 million Ukrainian homes,” the energy company wrote.

The majority of restoration work was carried out in the Donetsk region. 1.3 million families are provided with electricity, DTEK reported.

According to the company, in the Dnepropetrovsk region during May, power engineers managed to restore power to 607 thousand families. Also, 76.7 thousand households in the Odessa region, without power due to enemy attacks, received electricity.

“The enemy does not stop attacking the Kyiv region. Despite all the challenges, OSR specialists in May were able to return power to 22.1 thousand houses of residents of the Kyiv region. OSR DTEK Merezhi specialists continue to work, including in regions with the most intense hostilities, together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service and restore the operation of power grids as soon as they receive permission from them,” the publication says.
