With the onset of warmer weather, Krasnoyarsk will begin accepting ticks en masse for research. Specialists from the Federal Siberian Scientific and Clinical Center of the FMBA of Russia have begun preparations for the epidemic season. According to the forecasts of the regional Rospotrebnadzor, tick activity in 2026 is expected at the end of March – beginning of April.

Infectious disease doctor Elena Bekhova, Federal Scientific Research Center of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia, recalled that after a tick bite, it is important to take it to the laboratory as soon as possible.
