The government of the Novosibirsk region hosted the annual award ceremony for the laureates of the Interregional competition “Director of the Year in Siberia.
Enterprise of the Year in Siberia” based on the results of 2025. In the “Digital Transformation” nomination, Nikolai Zenin, Vice President, Director of the Novosibirsk branch of PJSC Rostelecom, was recognized as the leader.
The competition is held by the Siberian Word Publishing House and the Interregional Association of Enterprise Managers together with the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the SER Business Club Association with the support of the plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District, the government of the Novosibirsk region, the Legislative Assembly of the NSO and the mayor's office of Novosibirsk.
“All managers are united by a large burden of responsibility for the assigned work, for people, for the future of the team, responsibility to clients, no matter who they are – buyers, consumers or citizens receiving the service. Worthy leaders, each in their own place, bear this burden, and not just carry it, but ensure the development of the organizations, enterprises, and institutions entrusted to them, instill motivation and optimism in their teams and build confidence in the future,” said Andrei Travnikov, Governor of the Novosibirsk Region.
The award was presented to Nikolai Zenin by the chief federal inspector for the Novosibirsk region, Nikolai Buimov. Such a high rating confirms Rostelecom’s leading position in the development of digital services and the introduction of technologies that change the quality of life.
“Such awards are recognition of the work of our entire team, numbering thousands of professionals. For me and for the entire team, this is confirmation that we are moving in the right direction, solving large-scale problems of digitalization of Siberia. This is, of course, a powerful incentive for the team to move forward, introduce innovations and set even more ambitious goals in order to remain a reliable partner for the state, business and society,” said Nikolai Zenin, Vice President, Director of the Novosibirsk branch of Rostelecom PJSC.
In 2025, the company built dozens of base stations in Siberia from the Russian company Bulat and laid hundreds of kilometers of fiber-optic lines, including in hard-to-reach villages in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, where the signal first appeared. Thanks to the new IT infrastructure, thousands of Siberians gained access to voice communications and the Internet. Actively developing digital services for citizens, in Khakassia, the Altai Republic and the Irkutsk region, the provider expanded the functionality of the medical chatbot in the MAX messenger, integrating it with the State Services portal.
In addition, in 2025, the Siberian Rostelecom implemented a large-scale project for the Novaport Holding company, creating a virtual private network for 27 airports located in all federal districts of Russia. And for enterprises in the SME sector in the Novosibirsk region, the company offered preferential terms for its digital services, having signed an agreement with the My Business center.
