Senior prosecutor Georgy Izmailov from the Krasnoyarsk Territory is recognized as the best public prosecutor in the country. He won the All-Russian competition named after Ankudinov, beating 12 of the strongest colleagues from other regions, the prosecutor's office reported.

Izmailov’s track record includes high-profile cases: espionage, treason, sabotage, fraud during the construction of the Krasnoyarsk metro. It was he who achieved a guilty verdict against the former chairman of the government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Yuri Lapshin.

The prosecutor is also responsible for the case of the brutal murder of a schoolgirl in a pigsty in the village of Ushkanka, Uzhur district. Thanks to the evidence collected by the prosecution, the jury unanimously found the defendant not deserving of leniency. The result is 23 years in prison. It was with this case that Georgy made it to the finals of the competition, earning recognition from the competition committee.

Previously, other prosecutors from the Krasnoyarsk Territory had already become finalists of the all-Russian competition: Zhanna Volnistova (2022) and Nikolay Aulov (2024).
