A resident of Yeniseisk sued 288 thousand rubles for imposed services when buying a car. This was reported in Rospotrebnadzor.
The man purchased a Lada Granta car at the expense of a consumer loan issued in a car dealership, and succumbing to the seller’s persuasion, he concluded an agreement on the provision of additional services with Car Help 24 LLC, the cost of which amounted to 191 thousand rubles.
The issued certificate gave the right to receive technical assistance within 3 years: fuel supply, car evacuation during breakdown, recharging the battery, engine start, and so on.
“After some time, realizing that he did not need these services, the consumer decided to unilaterally abandon them. However, KAR Help 24 LLC ignored this requirement. Then the victim went to court, ”the regional administration said.
The specialists of Rospotrebnadzor in the trial were given a conclusion to protect the rights of consumer. By a court decision, the contract for the provision of technical assistance was terminated.
More than 287,000 rubles were recovered in favor of the consumer with LLC “Car Help 24”, of which: cash paid under the contract is 191,000 rubles, non -pecuniary damage compensation is 10,000 rubles, the percentage for using other people's funds – 29,229, 27 rubles, a fine for non -compliance with the consumer’s requirements – 57,557.32 rubles.
