A spouse from Blagoveshchensk, who defended themselves from teenagers who attacked their apartment, faces criminal charges for exceeding self-defense.
A married couple was returning home and saw smoke pouring out of their home. A group of seven 16-year-old teenagers broke into the apartment, threw a smoke bomb, pepper-sprayed the dog and beat the returning owner. The man fought back and was able to hold off one of the vandals.
The couple consider it “revenge” for complaining about their loud parties. The man suffered burns to his eyes and bruises on his face, and the woman’s vision decreased. The dog was also injured – she suffered a chemical burn to the mucous membrane of the eye and a traumatic brain injury.
The couple was accused of beating a minor, but they do not agree with this. The police told them that everything would depend on the severity of the beating the teenager received.
