The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” (12+) dated May 20, 1977 says that in 1947 the Birakan paper mill produced its first product – a batch of technical paper. In the first year of operation of the factory, the enterprise produced three tons of paper per day, and after 30 years of production, 26.4 tons of paper are already produced per day.
The factory honors, preserves and enhances the traditions of the team. Among the veterans at the enterprise are net worker K. I. Reva, awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, press worker A. E. Skvortsova, mechanic M. V. Sonin, press worker A. M. Alekseeva, awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor.
The newspaper reports that vitamin-rich products are prepared by the wild plant processing workshop “Gospromkhoz Obluchensky”. Factory employees daily prepare 1000-1200 kilograms of birch sap, which, after processing, goes to store shelves.

In the regular column “In our region,” the newspaper reported that a ballroom dancing competition (6+) was held in the Birobidzhan city House of Pioneers and Schoolchildren. The competition program included Russian lyrical dances, Krakowiak, figure waltz and others.
Birobidzhan Secondary School No. 11 hosted a staged song competition on the theme “The revolution has a beginning, but the revolution has no end” (0+).
In the red corner of the dairy farm of the 2nd branch of the Dezhnevsky state farm, a thematic evening was held by the employees of the Lenin regional library and auto club on the theme “Warmed by Lenin’s love” (6+) – about the first Decrees of Soviet power.
A lecture hall dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Great October Revolution (6+) began operating in the Birobidzhan culture and recreation park.
The tour of the Amurzet People's Theater in the Leninsky district was a great success. The theater team was awarded a diploma from the Leninsky regional department of culture for good service to rural workers.

The article talks about naming Lesnaya Street in the village of Valdgeim, Birobidzhan District, after the former chairman of the collective farm “Zavety Ilyich” V.I. Peller. A memorial plaque will be installed on the house where V. Peller lived. There will also be a memorial plaque on the collective farm board building.
