Russians were named countries that will not be allowed into without a biometric passport

Russian citizens will not be able to visit Denmark, Malta, the Czech Republic, Iceland, Norway, Lithuania and Estonia using an old-style foreign passport without biometric data, said lawyer Galina Zemskova.
France also introduced a corresponding ban, making an exception only for children under 15 years of age and holders of Schengen visas issued before June 1, 2025.
The specialist explained that from the beginning of this summer, Finland will begin to apply similar restrictive measures.
According to her, Finnish border guards will only allow minors, holders of previously obtained residence permits and holders of valid visas through the transition period until the end of 2026.
