Russian Senator Alexander Uss announced his retirement from political career

June 4 11:51
Ex-governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and current senator of the Russian Federation Alexander Uss announced that he will not participate in the upcoming elections of deputies to the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the Legislative Assembly of the region.
According to him, the reason is simple:
“What is started must be completed at some point. Preferably on time and with a sense of accomplishment.”
Alexander Uss wrote about this today on his social networks. He also recalled how an accomplished scientist came to power and what a long political path he then went through:
“It’s not for me to judge how successful he was. Perhaps others will do more… The upcoming events are called upon to once again form a real “party of Krasnoyarsk residents,” consisting of those who come to power not for chairs and badges. Aiming for high goals. Intelligent ones who know the business they have taken on. Those who have their own opinion and are able to defend it. And most importantly, those who are determined to create – to change the world around them for the benefit of their fellow countrymen and the Russian state. Until a new set of deputies is elected, I will remain a senator. Then I intend to continue working in the position of KRASNOYARTS – this is what I have always considered the most responsible for myself. What is important here is not official status, but, above all, the desire to benefit one’s region. I believe in the best!”
