A 54-year-old driver is under criminal investigation after causing a road accident involving a bus belonging to the Bucharest Transport Company, in Sector 6 of the capital.

According to the Bucharest Road Brigade, the accident took place in the evening of May 9, around 21:05, at the intersection between Valea Oltului Street and Valea Ialomiței Street.
“The driver of a vehicle traveling on Valea Oltului str. collided with a bus belonging to the Bucharest Transport Society“, the police said.
As a result of the impact, only material damage was recorded, without casualties.
The car driver was tested with the breathalyzer, the result indicating a value of 0.64 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air. The man was later taken to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine for the collection of biological samples.
The two drivers were directed to the Minor Accidents Bureau to resolve the road incident.
The police have opened a criminal case and are continuing the investigation for driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, an act provided for by article 336 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
