The traffic on Transfăgărășan will open in the next two weeks, much earlier than the ordinary term, the Regional Directorate of Roads and Bridges (DRDP) Brasov announced on Tuesday.
“Transfăgărăşan will open in the next two weeks! Due to the much smaller snow layer compared to other years, the road cleansing is advancing much faster than in other years,” DRDP Brasov said on Tuesday on the Facebook page.
DRDP Brașov said that at this moment work is being worked on snow removal and mounting the road signaling.
“If we continue to have favorable weather conditions, we will be able to reopen the traffic almost a month and a half earlier compared to the usual term that was July 1,” DRDP Brașov said.
