Eurosceptic Radev's party won 44.6 percent of the vote in the April 9 election, a score that gives it a majority of seats in the 240-seat parliament.

After receiving the mandate, Radev presented his future cabinet, which is to be validated by the parliament on Friday, writes Agerpres.

Rumen Radev, a former fighter pilot, resigned in January as Bulgaria's largely ceremonial president to run for parliament after massive protests against corruption and the rising cost of living forced the resignation of the previous government in December.

The victory of the Progressive Bulgaria party, the most decisive in a generation, will allow Radev to lead the first single-party government in almost three decades and ensure political stability after repeated rounds of elections.

Velislava Petrova-Chamova and Galab Donev will take over the Foreign and Finance portfolios, respectively, in the new cabinet, which will have to quickly adopt a new budget, establish a debt ceiling to ensure the payment of pensions and salaries, and recover unused EU funds.
