If you're dreaming of a hot, satisfying dinner, but don't want to stand at the stove for more than a quarter of an hour, try lazy burritos in pita bread. They are prepared from what is on hand, and they turn out tastier than in a restaurant. Even children who “don’t eat vegetables” eat every last crumb.
You will need:
Thin lavash – 2 sheets
Chicken fillet (or cooked chicken/ham) – 150 g
Sweet pepper – 1 pc.
Tomato – 1 pc.
Hard cheese – 100 g
Canned corn – 3 tbsp. spoons
Sour cream or yogurt without additives – 2 tbsp. spoons
Spices: paprika, dried garlic, salt – a pinch
How to cook:
- Preheat oven to 190°C.
- Cut the chicken into small cubes and lightly fry.
- Cut the sweet pepper and tomato into thin strips.
- Grate the cheese.
- Apply a thin layer of sour cream to each sheet of pita bread and sprinkle with spices.
- Distribute chicken, vegetables, corn and cheese evenly.
- Carefully roll the pita bread into a tight roll.
- Place seam side down on a baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the pita is crisp and the cheese is melted.
- Let cool slightly, cut into portions and serve with fresh herbs or sauce.
Bon appetit!
