Spectacular operation on the 13th floor: the moment a dog stuck on the side of a building was rescued after being found by drone

A dog was rescued from the 13th floor of an apartment building in a spectacular operation in Australia.
Elbie, a 2-year-old Jack Russell, disappeared from his owner's balcony in the Meriton Apartments complex in Sydney on Saturday, April 25, writes People magazine.
The owner posted notices in the building, and a neighbor, Fernando Westin, decided to fly a drone around the building in hopes of spotting the dog. Westin was finally able to locate Elbie on Monday morning, April 27 — two days after she disappeared, according to the same source.

Elbie apparently slipped through a small crack in the owner's balcony and after about 40 meters onto the balcony of another apartment, where she got stuck between the windows and the metal bars.
The tenant of that apartment, a man named Marty, said he kept the blinds drawn all weekend and didn't realize the animal was there.
“I lifted the blind, looked over the edge and there she was, poor thing”Marty stated.

Firefighters were called and a rescue operation was implemented. Footage from the scene shows firefighter Joel Spillane climbing down the facade of the building to the 13th floor and reaching Elbie. Spillane put a leash on the dog and also spread a safety net underneath in case it fell.
“[Câinele] it was a bit stuck. It took me a while to get it out,” he said, adding that Elbie “she was calm, which helped a lot.”
After 20 minutes, Elbie was lifted safely into an apartment, through the window, a moment greeted with applause by those present. Elbie's owner Jake Dobrin said it is “at the height of happiness” after being reunited with his pet.
“I didn't know if I'd ever see her again — I'm extremely happy”Dobrin said.
