VIDEO New images of the attacker at the Trump dinner: He passed the security forces in four seconds

Video footage from the Washington Hilton hotel captures the moments before the attack at the presidential dinner. The footage shows how the Cole Tomas Allen attacker slipped through security while Donald Trump and other officials were in the ballroom, according to the BBC.
Prosecutors presented footage showing a gunman running out the hotel door and through the checkpoint in four seconds. The footage captures a security guard firing at the man with a long-barreled gun.
The footage does not show when the suspect was arrested. Cole Thomas Allen, 31 years old, is accused of attempted assassination of Donald Trump.
The Justice Department says Allen checked the hotel area the day before the event. Cameras caught him in the building's hallways and in the fitness room before dinner.
He is accused of having a semi-automatic handgun, a shotgun and three knives. He ran to the upper floor of the hall where the gala was held.
Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and cabinet members were evacuated after gunshots were heard. Prosecutor Jeanine Pirro released a high-quality version of the recording on the X Network on Thursday.
The footage shows a man crossing a corridor and entering a door. He later reappears shirtless and runs through the metal detector with a gun in his hands. Prosecutors said the man's coat concealed a 12-gauge shotgun.
The video also shows an officer firing his gun at the suspect. Although the officer was hit by bullets, the suspect was not injured. The Secret Service said the officer was hit in his bulletproof vest and was not seriously injured.
Ballistics experts are investigating whether the officer was struck by the suspect or other officers at the scene. Prosecutor Jeanine Pirro said there was no evidence of a “friendly fire” incident, although a recent memo from prosecutors did not confirm that an officer had been shot.
The director of the Secret Service stated that the suspect fired on an agent at close range. The officer returned fire and fired five shots before Allen was subdued.
Cole Tomas Allen faces additional charges, including illegal interstate transportation of weapons, a felony punishable by up to 10 years.
