30 April 14:55

In Norilsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, a festival continues, combining theater, the art of dance, as well as a rich educational program. It is carried out with the support of Norilsk Nickel.

The festival program opened with the play “The Search Continues” (12+). Director Dmitry Krestyankin created it together with the LizaAlert search and rescue team. Now Dmitry Krestyankin, together with artists and teachers from Norilsk, Moscow and St. Petersburg, works with Norilsk teenagers in a theater studio. At the end of May, the participants will present a sketch of the performance to the audience.

“There will be 60 teenagers in two groups, 30 people in each. Initially it was supposed that there would be one group, but there were many applications, and we decided not to refuse anyone. Both now and previously there was a request from the guys for theater as a way of communication. We do not have the task of turning them into artists who, at any cost, must enter a theater institute. We want to help the guys become more relaxed, gain self-confidence, and teach them how to build a dialogue with different people,” said Dmitry Krestyankin.

Viewers still have the opportunity to attend the second block of festival events, which will take place in the fall. WITH 4 to 12 September Leading Russian choreographers Alexey Narutto and Olga Timoshenko will conduct master classes on various techniques of modern dance with elements of martial arts and sports games. The result will be a plastic performance.

September 12 and 13 The Moscow Theater for Young Spectators will come to Norilsk on tour with the play “Honeymoon in the Doll’s House” directed by Pyotr Shereshevsky.

October 2 and 3 in Norilsk will present a unique “Ballet Evening” performed by dancers of the St. Petersburg Ballet Theater named after Leonid Yakobson. Only Norilsk residents will see the program in this form.

“We see creative industries as part of the real economy, for which there is a growing demand in cities. That is why the key task is to create institutions and tools that provide incentives and opportunities for young, talented and creative authors to realize their potential and connect their future with the city,” noted Norilsk Nickel Senior Vice President Larisa Zelkova.

Let us remind you that the first festival “Norilsk Seasons” passed in 2025 and immediately became a bright cultural event in the life of the city, laying the foundation for the further development of the region.
