Protest with thousands of trade unionists on Tuesday in Piața Victoriei: the Government accused of “anti-human” measures

Thousands of trade unionists from all fields picket the Government headquarters on Tuesday, between 10:30 and 14:30. The action, organized by the Meridian Confederation, condemns the lack of social dialogue and the measures that led to the collapse of living standards, according to Agerpres.
Trade unionists belonging to all national trade union confederations, members of professional federations and associations, civilian and military pensioners, revolutionary associations, students are participating in the protest.
Thousands of trade unionists will be present: foresters, foresters, administration, police, contractual staff, education and health workers, miners, steel workers, energy workers, military in reserve, pensioners, according to the organizers.
The trade unionists are dissatisfied with the so-called “government measures” of reform, which they consider “anti-European, anti-Romanian and anti-human”.
They argue that decisions taken without real social dialogue have seriously affected the right to a fair salary and a fair retirement, putting jobs at risk and worsening the economic-financial crisis.
The Bolojan government faces a censure motion submitted on Monday by PSD and AUR. The prime minister accused the PSD of “dynamiting the government” without having a backup solution, excluding resignation, although he admitted that the motion has a chance of passing. Bolojan emphasized that, in this tense context, the scenario of early elections remains a possible option.
