In April and May, Russians can expect shorter work weeks and longer weekends

April 21 18:00
At the end of April and mid-May 2026, Russians will have two four-day working weeks due to the holidays.
The first will last from April 27 to 30 (Monday to Thursday), and the second from May 12 to 15 (Tuesday to Friday).
At the same time, on April 30 and May 8, the working day will be reduced by one hour, since they precede May Day and Victory Day.
On the occasion of the holidays themselves, the weekend will be three days twice: from May 1 to May 3 (from Friday to Sunday) and from May 9 to 11 (from Saturday to Monday).
Let us remind you that the decision to postpone days off that fall on holidays is adopted by the government annually and is implemented in such a way as to optimally distribute work and rest time.
