A trolleybus left the road and rammed into a supermarket in Austria. The balance of victims

One man died and six people were injured after a trolleybus veered off the road and crashed into a supermarket in Salzburg, Austria, on Monday, the Red Cross and police said, as quoted by AFP.

“One person died despite resuscitation attempts,” a spokeswoman for the Red Cross told AFP.

According to a police statement, it is a 55-year-old passerby, originally from the city.

The six injured, with injuries of varying degrees, including the bus driver, were transported to the hospital, the police said, according to News.ro.

The trolleybus left the roadway “for an unknown reason at the moment”, “crossed the sidewalk and hit the window of a grocery store”, according to the police statement, which is waiting to question the driver.

The accident occurred at a roundabout in the north of the city.
