This coming Saturday, April 25, a large-scale citywide cleanup will take place in Krasnoyarsk. Everyone is invited to take part in the cleanup: you can unite in groups, find like-minded people among your neighbors using house chats, or join communities of activists.

Let us remind you that this year for the first time the event will be held simultaneously throughout the entire expanded urban district. According to tradition, river banks, green areas, as well as undeveloped areas and so-called undemarcated areas, which for various reasons cannot be included in the regular city cleaning plan, will be cleaned.

“Therefore, cleanup days and special events are the only opportunity to put these places in order,” the mayor’s office explained. — Specialists from district administrations will advise you on the scope of work, and, if necessary, help with equipment and organizing waste removal. You can also contact them through social networks.”

The cleanup is taking place as part of the spring two-month improvement and gardening campaign “For a clean city, clean Siberia!”, which started in Krasnoyarsk on April 6 and will last until May 3. As part of the campaign, sanitary Fridays, environmental games, master classes and educational events are held weekly.

“It should be noted that this year a large citywide cleanup is taking place on the same day as the All-Russian Cleanup Day. The event is also included in the week of cleanup “We are for cleanliness”, which is carried out by the all-Russian movement “Ecosystem” within the framework of the national project “Children and Youth”. The events will be dedicated to the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia. The main goal is to unite the country’s residents to form an environmental culture and respect for nature,” the mayor’s office said.
