Neural networks ChatGPT and Bing accused one of the best US law professors of raping five students. Among other things, the man became famous for his ardent criticism of AI – for the fact that it harms humans.
61-year-old Jonathan Turley from George Washington University learned about the incident from lawyer Eugene Volokh. He wrote an email and said that he asked ChatGPT to give five examples of sex scandals involving professors from American law schools that were featured in the American media. The bot gave out Turley’s personal information and the history of his “criminal case.”
According to the professor, the neuron made up his story and falsely accused him. Said: AI gave out facts that never happened in life. But he did it as convincingly as possible. Bing rolled out the same thing. Because of this, Turley filed a lawsuit – he demanded to pay him moral compensation and to ban the use of neural networks. At least partially. The case was set in motion – based on the statements of the soulless machine, law enforcement officers are also checking the lawyer. Even if none of this is true.
