Kuban sunflower oil disguised as olive oil from Greece and Spain was bottled in an underground workshop in the Krasnodar region. And they sold it all over Russia. The monthly illegal profit of my mother’s businessmen was estimated at 10 lyams.
Customs officers and SOBR busted the underground production of counterfeit oil in the village of Rodnikovskaya. Businessmen added flavorings to their Kuban product so that it smelled like a foreign product. 29 tons of counterfeit products, packaging, accessories and bottling equipment were taken from the artisanal production. It also turned out to be dubious. Investigators believe that foreign equipment was imported illegally.
Oil magnates now face criminal charges for counterfeit goods.
