“Three Ukrainians worked on the number of the singer Dara, who represented Bulgaria at Eurovision 2026 and won, as part of an international team, including production director Nicholas Chobb. In a commentary to Muzvar on May 17, he told the details of the collaboration.
“I worked with the Bulgarian team as a creative advisor – a person to whom the production team turned for creative assessment and recommendations regarding the performance. I participated in the development of the appearance and functionality of the main decoration of the act together with the Ukrainian production designer, as well as in the creation of video content for LED screens,” he explained.
Chobb denied the statement of Russian artist Philip Kirkorov about his alleged involvement in the singer’s number.
“I first learned about Kirkorov today from Threads. At all stages of the preparation of the performance – from the moment of choosing the participant’s song to the final performance – there was not a single mention of his participation from the producing or directing team. Therefore, I cannot confirm his involvement in the direct creation of the performance on which I worked. I think that his attempts to take credit for his involvement in the victory look like a personal initiative to remind about himself and where he comes from, because Bulgaria is one of the few countries where, rather In all, entry is open to him, and he will have the opportunity to come to his “favorite competition,” Chobb noted ironically.
Dara itself did not comment on Kirkorov’s statement. The Bulgarian broadcaster also ignored him.
