Marek Kubala is fighting for money from the state. A raid by the services destroyed his company

Another hearing is scheduled for next Monday, April 20. In 1991, Marek Kubala founded his company. After a few years, he started operating as a Seat dealer in Wałbrzych, importing cars from the USA and Canada. In December 2000, the Border Guard entered his company.
According to him, state services raided his company after a denunciation. They were supposedly interested in his previous business. The prosecutor's office brought many charges against him, including: car smuggling, corruption, underestimation of customs value and participation in an organized criminal group.

Marek Kubala is fighting for huge compensation from the state. He claims it destroyed his company
In April 2024, the District Court in Sieradz awarded him PLN 12 million in compensation with interest (approximately PLN 22 million in total).. The Prosecutor General's Office then filed an appeal. He faces another hearing next Monday.
— I'm going to defend the verdict from Sieradz, which is an indictment of the state. This judgment clearly and unquestionably demonstrated grossly illegal actions in the exercise of public authority – this is what Marek Kubala said on Friday in the “Three Questions at the End of the Day” program of Radio ZET.

In his opinion, the verdict of April 2024 is “testimony of lawlessness and proof that the state can destroy a person for 26 years.” He admitted that he hoped that Monday's hearing would be the last.
— It's time to end this, because I won't see the end in my life. […] The state not only plays dirty, but also uses methods that qualify for a complaint to the prosecutor's office about a crime, he said.
Marek Kubala also said on Radio ZET that his case was “a script for a crime film.”
