A day before planting tomatoes – be sure to: 200 ml per hole – and collect 15 kg from the bush

For many summer residents, tomatoes are their favorite crop. However, these plants need special care, and a rich harvest directly depends on the right start.

Preparing the ground in advance

A day before planting the seedlings in a permanent place, dig holes and water them with yeast solution. To prepare the top dressing, dilute 20 g of dry yeast in a 10-liter bucket of warm water.

Mix thoroughly until the granules are completely dissolved and pour approximately 200 ml of the mixture into each hole.

Why does it work

  • The yeast supplement acts as a mild natural stimulant:
  • Enriches the soil – supplies it with accessible macro- and microelements.
  • Improves the structure of the soil – makes it looser and more breathable for young roots.
  • Accelerates adaptation – helps the root system to actively develop, and the plant to more easily withstand the stress of replanting.

Advice: do not overdo it with yeast, one watering when planting is enough. And use only warm water, cold water will slow down the work of fungi. This simple preparation will save you from many problems with tomatoes in the future.

Reviews from summer residents

Many gardeners have already tried this method. For example, Tatyana from the Moscow region directly states:

“Previously, the seedlings were sick for weeks, but after watering them with yeast in the holes, they began to grow on the third day!”

In turn, a gardener from Krasnodar said that thanks to such soil preparation, his tomatoes not only took root faster, but also produced stronger roots compared to last season.

And here is the opinion of Elena from Saratov:

“I thought it was a folk tale, but I tried it – the tomatoes were green and vigorous, even the heat didn’t cut them down.”
