Wednesday
Arsenal London – Sporting Lisbon (1-0)
Bayern Munich – Real Madrid (2-0)
Tuesday
Atletico Madrid – Barcelona 1-2 (in the round, 2-0)
Lookman (31) / Yamal (4), F. Torres (24)
Liverpool – PSG 0-2 (0-2)
Dembele (73, 90+1)
Real Madrid are unbeaten in their last four away games at Bayern (3 wins, 1 draw). In the Bundesliga era (from 1963-64), only two teams managed to go unbeaten in five consecutive trips to Bayern: Werder Bremen (5 consecutive results between 1989-1992 and 2007-2010) and 1. FC Köln (5 consecutive results between 2003-2010).
The win at the Bernabéu was the Bavarians' 23rd away in the first leg of a European Cup/UEFA Champions League knockout tie. Of the previous 22 such occasions, Bayern have been knocked out just once – in the round of 16 in 2010-11, when they conceded on away goals to Internazionale (1-0 away, 3-2 at home).
Real Madrid hold the record for appearances in the semi-finals of the European Cup/UEFA Champions League (33 appearances). If knocked out at this stage, the Royals will have missed out on the semi-finals twice in the last two seasons (2023-24 and 2024-25) – as often as in the previous 14 editions combined, from 2010-11 to 2023-24.
