The embassy in Tehran resumed work after the US and Iran announced a temporary truce.

The facility, which Spain closed on March 7 following U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iran, has been restored to operation with the return of a full diplomatic team.
— We are returning to Tehran. The Spanish embassy in Iran resumes operations after the ceasefire. Ambassador Antonio Sanchez-Benedito Gaspar returns to work with his diplomatic team and local staff, pledging to support peace – the facility reported.
The Spanish Embassy in Tehran returns to work
Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares announced the reactivation of the facility on Thursday. The head of Spanish diplomacy emphasized that the basis for this decision was the two-week ceasefire agreed by the US and Iran last week.
After the facility reopened, peace talks between the United States and Iran took place in Pakistan over the weekend. The negotiations did not bring the expected results.

Israel criticizes the opening of a facility in Iran
The government in Madrid faced sharp criticism from Israeli authorities for restoring diplomatic activities in Tehran. Relations between the two countries have remained strained since mid-March, when Spain recalled its ambassador in Tel Aviv.
Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez described Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip as “genocide.” This statement further deepened the diplomatic conflict between Madrid and Tel Aviv.
