Anniversary of the Smolensk disaster. The Russians tried to disrupt the celebrations

More information soon.

On the 16th anniversary of the Smolensk disaster, the ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Moscow, Krzysztof Krajewski, together with a delegation of Polish foreign service employees and representatives of the Polish diaspora, paid tribute to the victims of the crash of the Polish presidential plane near Smolensk.

However, at one point the ceremony was disrupted by, as the Polish Embassy in Moscow points out, “a group of so-called activists raising anti-Polish slogans.”

Russian “activists” tried to disrupt the celebrations

In an interview with RMF FM, Krajewski said that the Russians who disrupted the celebrations “were unsuccessfully counting on the reaction of the anniversary celebration participants.” He added that these were “offensive groups that wanted to provoke and used such propaganda slogans regarding our support for Ukraine.”

As the diplomat stated in an interview with the website, this action was not spontaneous. — These are young people, some of them very embarrassed, hiding their faces behind balaclavas. Well, an organized group of so-called activists and the so-called journalists who have nothing to do with journalism – said Krajewski in an interview with RMF FM.

A recording of the event appeared online. Krajewski can be heard saying to the “activists”: “leave us alone.”

On April 10, ceremonies commemorating the victims of the Katyn Massacre were also held. There were disruptions there too. At the Polish War Cemetery in Katyn, “a group of activists appeared who raised unfriendly slogans, trying to attack the seriousness of the place and the historical truth about the crime.”
