In Krasnoyarsk, two police officers were accused of bribery and sent to a pre-trial detention center. This was reported by the joint press service of the regional courts.

According to investigators, in October 2025, law enforcement officers, while on duty and ensuring public order on Alekseev Street, detained a foreigner for violating immigration laws. However, they did not take measures to suppress the administrative offense and did not transmit the information to the territorial police authority.

For inaction, the law enforcement officers received from a foreign citizen a monetary reward in the amount of 40 thousand rubles, which they divided among themselves. A case was opened against the police under paragraph “a” of Part 5 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (receipt of a bribe by a group of persons by prior conspiracy)

By decisions of the Kirovsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk dated April 9, the accused was chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of two months – until June 7, 2026.
