In Krasnoyarsk, the selection of new players in the youth team in the Norilsk Nickel-D mini-football is being selected. The double of a professional club that belongs and is sponsored by Norilskel is looking for candidates for three vacant places. Viewing training is carried out on the basis of the Sopka sports complex of the Siberian Federal University, where the team trains on an ongoing basis.

“From last season, three players left the team by virtue of age. We have to not just close the vacant positions, but to find children of the level that we need. We will choose the best, strongest. They previously looked at the questionnaires, what achievements already existed and decided who should come. The team has high ambitions, we will fight not only for the playoffs, but also higher places. Our task is to comply with this level, ”commented Nikolai Ivanov, head coach of Norilsk Nickel-D.

More than 30 athletes from different cities of the region and other regions of Russia came to view viewing. For many of them, this is a real opportunity to declare yourself and get a ticket to the sport of the highest achievements. Among the applicants there are also pupils of the Norilsk School of Mini-football, who are engaged in the youth teams of the U-16 and U-18 club.

“I have been living and playing in Norilsk all my life, I began to train with the age of six. Futzal is everything for me, and in the other direction I do not see myself. Now I have come to try his hand here. You feel a professional level, the competition is serious. In general, for the Norilsk people, the appearance of a double is an additional motivation, and any athlete of the youth team monitors youth, ”said the athlete Lev Selin.

Another candidate, Pavel Chanchin, arrived at the selection from Zheleznogorsk, where he combines a football and big football classes.

“I really like the training process, the coach is a real professional in his field. I follow the Norilsk Nickel team – both for the main composition and for a double. At the selection I try to give all my best, motivates the desire to become part of the only professional mini-football team. In addition, I have to enter the university, and getting into the youth team is an opportunity to combine sport and obtaining higher education, ”said Pavel.

The Norilsk Nickel-D youth team was created in 2022 on the basis of the Siberian Federal University after signing an agreement on cooperation with the Norilsk Nickel IFC. This partnership is aimed at developing a futsal in the region and provides athletes with the opportunity to combine study with a professional career.

Last season, the team for the first time in its new story entered the playoffs of the Premier League. It is worth noting that in the history of the club there was already a duplicate composition, which in the 2002/2003 season became the winner of this tournament.
