A tanker with 30,000 liters of LPG overturned in Prahova. The population, evacuated within a radius of one kilometer

A tanker loaded with approximately 30,000 liters of LPG overturned on the road Saturday evening, in the town of Cioranii de Jos, Prahova county, the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU) reported.
DSU announced that 72 people from 50 homes have been evacuated so far. Some were taken over by relatives, and others are relocated to the local gym. Also, a RO-ALERT message was sent to warn the population of Ciorani.
According to the quoted source, the transport company is going to send another tanker to carry out the transfer operation.
The authorities stated that, considering the risk, they ordered the preventive evacuation of the population within a radius of approximately one kilometer. The perimeter is secured by policemen and gendarmes.
“A fire truck, an extrication truck and a SMURD crew from the Mizil Detachment were initially mobilized at the scene of the intervention. Later, the forces were supplemented with a truck for personal transport and multiple victims, a minibus, fire-fighting robots from ISU Bucharest-Ilfov, as well as a CBRN crew from the Special Emergency Intervention Unit”, DSU also transmitted.
According to the DSU, following the measurements made with the equipment provided, no LPG leaks were identified. Also, no casualties were recorded.
