In Krasnoyarsk, at the Sportex center, the first thematic festival “Height Code” was held, dedicated to the development of unmanned aerial systems. The mayor's office spoke about this.
The event brought together more than 500 participants: schoolchildren, students, young professionals and everyone interested in modern technologies and engineering creativity. The honorary guests of the event were SVO soldiers. They shared their experience of flying drones with the guests and talked about how the aircraft help on the front lines.
“Unmanned aerial vehicles perform a wide range of tasks, such as reconnaissance, delivery and drop of cargo, and impact on the enemy. Devices are needed, as are qualified specialists. One operator can control different drones, performing dozens of combat missions or reconnaissance operations,” noted Northern Military District veteran Yuri Kharitonov.
In total, there were about 30 interactive platforms at the festival. At the site of the Baza youth center, everyone was able to try themselves as a pilot on a flight simulator. The ProTechno Center for Technical Creativity presented the Mobile Sky Academy project, where everyone could feel like a UAV operator and get acquainted with robotics. You could see real drones at the location of the Military Training Center named after Hero of Russia, Army General Viktor Dubynin.
Specialists from the Good Deed volunteer center, together with young people, participated in weaving camouflage nets. And under the guidance of specialists from the Sozvezdie youth center, the guys made an anti-drone curtain…
A separate block of the program included competitions on specially assembled racing drones, where participants demonstrated piloting skills and reaction speed.
“We are holding the Height Code festival in Krasnoyarsk for the first time. Its name reflects the desire for technology development and new achievements. Unmanned aerial vehicles are becoming an integral part of our lives – they are used in a variety of fields: from industry and construction to medicine and science. At the event, we tried to show the full range of opportunities that exist in the city, so that everyone could find an interesting direction for themselves,” said First Deputy Mayor Andrei Popeto.
The Krasnoyarsk Territory is one of the centers for the development of UAVs in Russia. This topic is especially relevant these days: unmanned aircraft systems have become a reality that affects the security of the state. Such festivals help to clearly demonstrate the potential of the industry and involve young people in its development.
“I thank the Krasnoyarsk team for organizing such an important event. Today, in difficult times for the country, it is especially important to keep up with technological development, and in some ways even get ahead of it. It is the new generation that bears a great responsibility – to master these technologies and apply them for the benefit of the Motherland»,” noted the governor’s plenipotentiary representative Vladimir Shaeshnikov.
Let us recall that earlier the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Irkutsk Region signed an agreement on the development of unmanned aircraft. The parties intend to join forces to introduce advanced technologies in their territories.
