In 2026, two new children's cultural and educational centers, created on the basis of libraries, will begin operating in Krasnoyarsk. Children's Library named after. The mayor's office said that on the basis of the library. In Viktor Dragunsky, a cultural and educational children's center “Inzheteka” will appear. It will specialize in early career guidance, introducing children and adolescents aged 5–14 years to the history of the city's industrial enterprises, inventions and great scientists of Russia and the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The main goal is to interest the younger generation in the engineering profession. For this purpose, a modern interactive environment will be created in the center. The program “Engineer – the profession of the future” will include natural science experiments, work with neural networks, intellectual and career guidance games, workshops and master classes
To implement the project, four rooms in the library will be used. It is planned to carry out renovations, purchase books, board games, experiment kits and display exhibits. In addition, there will be an exhibition of inventions and an audio tour.
In the children's library. Sergei Mikhalkov’s cultural and educational center “Native Speech” will begin its work. Its main task is to familiarize children and adolescents with the Russian language and literature and develop language culture. The center will be focused on working with children and adolescents from 7 to 14 years old, as well as their parents. The literary and theatrical project “One Rhyme” will be implemented here, in which children will gain initial skills in public speaking and acting, and will also become acquainted with puppet theater.
The press service of the city administration added that to implement the project, new books and games for speech development, sound and lighting equipment will be purchased, employees will improve their skills, and the library auditorium will be renovated.
“The creation of children's cultural and educational centers is an important step in the development of the activities of our libraries. “Inzheteka” and “Native Speech” are two significant directions that will allow our young readers to discover their talents, gain new knowledge and decide on interests in the future. The total amount of support for the creation of two modern children's centers in Krasnoyarsk amounted to more than 8.5 million rubles. These funds are allocated from the federal, regional and municipal budgets. The centers are scheduled to open this fall.
