Sorin Grindeanu, reaction to one of Bolojan's proposals on fuel prices: “Stupid”

The president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, said on Wednesday, about the fuel crisis, that he saw that the prime minister said that it is not possible to discuss differentiated VAT, which is false because there are EU countries that have taken this measure. Regarding the drop in the price of only diesel, not gasoline, he stated that it is “nonsense”, writes News.ro.

The president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, declared at the Parliament that the ordinance adopted by the Government regarding the fuel crisis “does not have any effect, it only sets the framework.

“For a month, Bogdan Ivan came to the Coalition and presented the scenarios. We have been discussing for a month, and what will you see on Monday? The big decision was to form a working group. I hope that tomorrow, I think there is a government meeting, we will have at least a decision from this point of view. The speed is not one that makes us satisfied at this moment”, stated Grindeanu.

“I think we are the last country in the European Union that did not act. This is not a good thing. It shows cynicism. When you sit for a month with the decision on the table and do not act, you are cynical. Why? Because you can think, or can I think, that the state earns additional income, exceptional income”, he said.

He continued: “I saw that the prime minister said that differentiated VAT cannot be discussed. False. We are in a false situation. We are in a crisis situation, a situation that temporarily sets the measures. There are countries in the European Union that have taken this measure. For example, Poland and Spain have taken exactly this measure.”

The PSD president was asked about the prime minister's intention to reduce the price of diesel only, not gasoline. “Nonsense,” answered the PSD president.
