Since the weather is warming up. Meteorologists announce what follows after the wave of rain and snow

The weather will continue to be capricious, with rain across much of the country and heavy snow in the mountains until Monday, March 30. Afterwards, we will feel an improvement in the weather, and light snow is still expected in the high mountain areas, ANM meteorologist Alina Șerban explained to HotNews.
A wave of heavy rains and blizzards in the mountain area covered a large part of the country this weekend, and new yellow code alerts were issued by ANM until March 30, at 10:00. It snowed heavily, especially in the counties of Braşov, Sibiu and Harghita, where road workers intervened.
The weather will continue to be gloomy with rain and snow in the mountains until Monday. Afterwards, it will warm up, ANM meteorologist Alina Șerban announced for HotNews.
“During the day today and even at night, the rains will continue in the eastern half, where there will be more significant amounts of water, so we have a yellow code warning in force until 10:00 a.m. for Muntenia, Dobrogea, most of Moldova, southeastern Transylvania, where we expect amounts of 20-30, in some places even 40 liters per square meter. The rains will continue for a longer period of time”, he declared Alina Şerban.
In the other regions, the rains will be reported in limited areas.
“We expect an improvement tomorrow and the day after, it will rain in almost all areas, this time in the west, but not as significant quantitatively. We will accumulate amounts of 10-15 liters per square meter, but in long intervals, stated the ANM meteorologist.
In the mountain areas, at high altitudes, snow conditions are maintained, but they will be light.
“Until tomorrow, a consistent layer of snow will be deposited, somewhere at 10-20 cm, but be careful that the wind will also intensify, so it won't be a very quiet snowfall. We will also have intensification of the wind in the rest of the territory, in smaller areas, through the south of Banat, the west of Oltenia, Moldova, in Muntenia, Dobrogea”, stated Șerban.
“From tomorrow the weather will improve. In terms of precipitation, starting tomorrow, even if there are still rains, they will be quantitatively weak,” she said.
Is it normal to snow now?
Asked how normal it is to have snow as we approach April, the ANM meteorologist explained that it is a moment of transition, “until the air masses stabilize”, and such episodes may still occur.
“It's normal, I mean in this winter-summer transition period. That's about spring. Until the air masses stabilize, there are periods and we've always had invasions of cold and very cold air, there are still reminiscences of winter or invasions of very warm air, we're heading towards summer and then it alternates quite a bit between periods of high temperatures with heavier rains and periods that bring more winter. It's more pronounced in the mountainous areas, because we still have cold air there”, said Alina Şerban.
“The Mediterranean Sea is a generator of cyclones”
“We can expect (no more such episodes), for now we have quite active Mediterranean Sea, the Mediterranean Sea means a generator of cyclones that are responsible for such events. As long as they are generated and move towards the area of our country, this unstable character of the weather will be maintained, sometimes warm, sometimes cold, sometimes rain, sometimes snow.
For the time being, the snow signals are for the mountainous areas, but we do not rule out their occurrence in the lower relief areas as well, rather through the north, where there are often invasions of colder air”, concluded Alina Șerban.
