In the last hours of the election campaign, Elena Lasconi had an online meeting with her supporters. According to records obtained by HotNews, the USR candidate for presidential spoke about the photos he made public. Asked why he did not appear in the public space, until Friday night, Elena Lasconi said that “I had no explanations. I asked for explanations.”

The meeting took place around 21.30, according to several Hotnews sources, who participated. Elena Lasconi discussed on an online platform with her supporters. The main theme was the one related to the pictures she made public and which she claims to show an alleged meeting between Nicușor Dan, Victor Ponta and Florian Coldea-a thing denied by all three.

“He asks me … (n. Red.: Name anonymized by Hotnews) if there is a clip with the three. I saw this thing told on the TV. After I received the email I gave the reply and asked the place, the time, the date and I received nothing until now. Lasconi at one point, according to the records obtained by HotNews from the meeting. A video recording with this passage from the discussion was also published by journalist Radu Buzianu, on his Facebook account.

During the discussion, a supporter of Elena Lasconi asks her if she had to find out the name of the person who sent her photos, who recommended to be “paparazzi”.

“This is what I will call on the state institutions. But I did something else … (n. Red.: Unintelligible) on my email on the email of a colleague who is very skilled, he has been doing for 20 years, to see all the data about these photos and the metadata on them does not appear. Elena Lasconi.

Supporter of Elena Lasconi: “I expected to appear on the TV, explain”

At one point, during the discussion, another supporter of Elena Lasconi spoke, who reproaches him that during Friday he did not go public to explain the “little more” photos. The presidential candidate was absent from the public space for about 17 hours, after publishing the images.

“I expected to appear on the TV, explain …” says her supporter.

“But I don't have to give explanations,” Lasconi reaches.

“I do not mean that you come to explain something, but to see you in the public space, especially since it is the last day of campaign (…).

In reply, Elena Lasconi says that “things are totally different from a normal campaign.”

“It is the most ugly campaign Ever, after the Revolution, and believe me I caught them all. There were no debates with candidates and I was not to come with explanations.

After obtaining the records, the editorial office asked the candidate for the presidential meeting, but he did not respond until the time of publication.

The identical location that Hotnews discovered

HotNews has published several photos of a home that is strikingly similar to that of Elena Lasconi's pictures. The house is located in Ilfov county, in a locality about 30 minutes to drive from the center of the capital.

By publishing the images, Hotnews does not refer to the authenticity or veracity of the photographs launched by Elena Lasconi, but strictly to the location, which is similar to the one in the pictures. Some specialists say the images with the characters have been modified.

After the publication of the article, the owner of the house that appears in the photos published on Thursday by Elena Lasconi said, in a response to Hotnews, that the house was rented on the weekend April 25-27, in hotel.

The woman says that the neighbors told her that they took many pictures on Friday night, in a time when the surveillance camera was covered “and did not record.”

“Scandal of photos”

Elena Lasconi distributed on Thursday night, on Facebook, a series of images that suggest showing Nicușor Dan, Victor Ponta and Florian Coldea. “In the spirit of truth, I think we all need some explanations for these photos,” Lasconi wrote in the description that accompanies the images.

Nicușor Dan initially reacted on Facebook and claimed that this is “a gross fake”. On Friday, he submitted to DIICOT a criminal complaint against Elena Lasconi, which she accuses of computer science, deception and alteration of computer content.

A reaction was also Victor Ponta, who announced criminal complaints against Elena Lasconi and Antena 3. In a press conference on Friday, Victor Ponta claimed that all this “misery” was developed, built by Bogdan Popescu and Kensington, who works with Crin Antonescu.

Also on Friday, the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) established that the posting of Elena Lasconi, in which she published the four photos with Nicușor Dan, Victor Ponta and Florian Coldea, should not be deleted. The decision came after a referral made by Nicușor Dan.
