Elon Musk, involved by Trump in Iran war talks

Elon Musk joined a phone call between US President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, The New York Times reported, citing two US officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
The three-way talk between Musk, Trump and Modi took place on Tuesday.
For now, the reasons why the American billionaire participated in these conversations are unclear, and no details are known about the content of the conversation.
Elon Musk's involvement in high-level talks at the White House comes less than a year after the rift between the businessman and President Donald Trump.
The bitter conflict between Trump and Musk
The conflict between Elon Musk, who invested millions in the Trump campaign, and the US president was sparked in early June, when Musk, who left his position as head of the Department for Government Efficiency (DOGE), denounced Trump's tax cut and spending bill.
The two had a heated exchange on their social media platforms: Trump's Truth Social and Musk's X. Among Musk's harshest words about Trump were that his name appears in the yet-to-be-released files on the Jeffrey Epstein case. Musk has since deleted this message.
Later, in a message dated June 11, 2025, Musk expressed regret for some of the messages he posted.
“I regret some of my posts about President Donald Trump last week. They went too far,” Elon Musk wrote on the X Network, which he owns.
In December 2025, US President Donald Trump criticized the EU's $140 million fine on Elon Musk's social media platform X, and then expanded his criticism, accusing Europe of “going in very bad directions”
