In Yakutsk, migration service officers conducted raids, during which they identified 20 violations of migration legislation and several crimes. One of the episodes concerns fictitious adoption, reports KP – Yakutia.
A woman with a residence permit has five children. A four-year-old boy received Russian citizenship, since his father was registered as a citizen of the Russian Federation. However, as the police found out, this father turned out to be the brother of the woman’s legal husband.
The uncle adopted his nephew, but never lived with the child’s mother and did not manage a common household. The woman remains married to her husband. The adoption was declared fictitious.
As a result of the raids, two foreigners were brought to the department for investigation. Three crimes in the field of migration were identified, the materials were transferred to the prosecutor's office.
