Fitch Ratings confirmed the high rating of Poznań: A- with a stable forecast – the Poznań magistrate said on Friday. This is the highest possible level that the Polish city can get.

High rating means that the capital of Greater Poland has a very good ability to fulfill their financial obligations.

“The International Agency Fitch Ratings confirmed the international long-term Poznań ratings for debt in foreign and domestic currency at the level of a stable forecast. It is an assessment equal to Poland's rating, i.e. at the highest level, which can obtain a Polish city. Confirmation of ratings reflects the agency's expectations that the financial results of Poznań in 2025-2029 will remain stable.”

Fitch indicates that the capital of Greater Poland is one of the wealthiest cities in Poland, with a local economy dominated by services and one of the lowest feet of unemployment, amounting to 1 percent at the end of 2024.

Fitch Ratings is one of the most significant agencies in the world. Assesses the creditworthiness of issuers from over 100 countries of the world, including most Polish cities and voivodships, and the ratings for Poznań have been published since 2013 (PAP)
